REMOVAL OF TOPIC

Dear All

Would you not agree that it would be best to remove the topic from Martin in the general forum titled” martin quits site after recieving threats.”
This topic was posted by martin himself but fails to give any details of these alledged such as A) the nature of the threats B) who or whom he was alledgedly threatened by c) when were the alledged threats made.

I feel that this topic is potentially damaging to the site and unless backed up by some form of statement or proof by martin is an unwarranted slurr on the integerity of the site and it’s members.
I might think differentley if martin were prepaired to stay on site as it were whilst such accusations were investigated by site admin.
But to leave it up there, while he scuttles off into cyberspace with his rattle in hand is not onin my view.

Can I put forth the senario of a member who realised that he was gone a little to far with the unsolicited advice he was handing out and was more than a little embarassed by the reaction he got from it. Realiseing he had gone a little too far he then decides to wreak havoc on his exit from the site.
This last paragraph is of course pure conjecture on my part but just as credable as martins threat claim especially with out any proof.

I agree with your sentiment and understand your feelings but i also think we are bigger than martian and can survive with his dirty washing in public.

I’d agree with Ted TBH Del and I’ll leave it there for several reasons, not the least being…

1. We have sod all to hide

2. It was investigated, or the attempt made THAT DAY and no proof or even any sniff of evidence was provided

3. It’ll drop off and be forgotten soon enough

4. If people do read it they will see that we do take such things seriously even if the poster was a wanker 😉

5. I agree that we are bigger than that

I see no reason to remove it, the guy was proved to be wrong, his actions only serve to make him look a total tosser that was trying to cause an upset, which failed and the posts make that blatently apparent.

Obviously after recieving that I was on my guard and I knew he had a bug up his ass about something as anyone anal enough to count the posts is a fookin’ liability!

His access has been removed, it was within minutes of this mail:

There is a sinister element that watches over UKW’s activities, my seemingly innocence comments have hit a raw nerve with some out there.

Needless to say I really don’t want to hear from him again and I doubt anyone else will either, nor has he ANY credibility with anyone after his posts and his recent actions.

I’d rather leave that there to serve as an example and as a record of the guys stupidity.

obviously the guy was a ” head the ball !” but you had more fact’s at your disposal and having now been made aware of them I totally agree with your decision. I’m not sure we’ve seen the last of him though, perhaps we should look out for him on the next reincarnation of the X-files. 😆

No I’m not so sure we’ve seen the last of him either, he strikes me as the type that cannot resist a bit of attention for whatever reason and, from his writings, seems very cock-sure of himself. TBH I didn’t speak much with him at the meeting and neither did anyone else I think and I noticed his total absense almost at the social event which struck me as odd. All round very strange indeed and it has been annoying me somewhat as I do think there’s more there than meets the eye.

Or maybe it’s just an unfounded gut feeling about the guy, but something’s not right there to my mind.

He asked me loads of things at the meeting, I took it he was just curious.

But what a wanker. Alright I have a lot to say for myself, and I like to put it on the line sometimes, BUT I’VE NEVER HAD ANY THREATS. Condidering I’ve loads of agencies as well as contacts & Matin had none, why would they chose to threaten him, yet I’ve never had a sniff.

There was that phone call from Merloni a while back from my posting on the old site. (Any Merloni agents out there? if so watch your backs…….) It made be angry and I leapt to my own defence.

Any way he was beginning to litter up the site a bit.

I thought it may not be too bad him coming back as perhaps he would contain himself a bit and stop bloody rambling on.

Sainsburys, Vaseline etc. What is he on?……He is coming out with more shite than ever, perhaps someone ought to phone him up late on a Saturday night. It will then take him the best part of Sunday morning clearing it all off again.
