ParticipantHi all. I’ve got a bit of a problem. I’ve got a liebherr fridge with an f2 fault. Ive got the replacement part but have fallen at the first hurdle – I can’t work out how to get the backplanes off the inside back of the fridge. From what I’ve read it is clipped in, but I’ve not been able figure it out and am afraid of breaking it by forcing. Are there any tips or tricks for removal please? Thanks.

Without the model number we can only give general advice.
Most LIEBHERR fridge freezers F2 faults is a faulty fridge evaporator sensor.
The sensor cover on most is held by a screw on the left hand side, it is normaly a torq screw and needs a torq fitting to unscrew it, a normal screwdriver will not fit.
Some models have a foamed in sensor so you then need an adaptor kit this includes the sensor and a new rear cover for the sensor.

Hi all, don’t know if anyone has any further advice? I can find the sensor panel, but there are no signs of screws or clips. I have however been looking inside the fridge in accordance with some other posts I’ve read. Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

hello, sorry for the delay in replying. yours is an integrated fridge with an icebox in the top.
sensor change on this is fairly easy, although the unit will have to come out for the sensor change.
the head of the sensor is housed behind the small plastic cover situated against the evaporator, on the right hand side.
the top of the cover should just clip off, exposing the sensor.
if you’re hesitant about taking it off, then remove the light fitting assembly first – this should make taking the sensor cover off a little easier.
part number you need is 9590142.cheers.
