    Hi All,

Still chasing the pump error. But the machine is filthy (dusty and that black gungy rubbish is coating the inside of the agitator), so I figured I would clean it up while it’s in bits.

Could someone please tell me how to remove the agitator from the drum? I did it once, years ago, and completely by accident, but have no idea how.

    Sincere thanks

Remove Agitator cap (Fabric Softener Cap) this just pulls Out
Put Hand down centre of Agitator And Unscrew wing nut
    Agi just pulls off

I might add that the black deposits are mould. Your appliance has no heater, so is unable to achieve a really high temperature wash, which is the only way of truly neutralising the stuff. If you are pulling the paddle, you might as well lift the deck and pull the drum as well. The outside of the drum and the tank will most likely have the same deposits. Scrubbing brush time……..

My Fisher & Paykel washing machine used to develop soap scum over a period of time if I principally used cold water washes. I contacted customer care some time ago and they recommended filling the machine with hot water and adding a Dishwasher cleaner cube.

The intention is to lift the lid once the washing program commences which will move through the wash cycle but halt at the drain step.

Leave overnight in the drum so that the Dishwasher cube can do its work.
In the morning, before closing the lid re-select a heavy duty wash cycle and then close the lid. This gets rid of a majority of the soap scum on the plastic internal drum beyond the stainless still drum.
