Removing fan on Neff U1721

I can’t get the fan off from the back of the Neff U1721 oven to change the element. I have managed to get the nut off but the fan is staying put, I see some people on the site have done it. Can you tell me how?

Hi
Best way is to remove the locking washer then, stop spindle from turning somehow without damaging thread; unless you are changing motor then it won’t matter 😀
Once you have done that, start spinning vigorously the fan round and round, back and forth until it releases/detaches from the shaft, then pull off.
Make sure as per, that you have powered off the appliance first.

I have tried to disable the spindle, but when I do the fan won’t spin or in fact even move. 😳 It will move in and out a few millimetres but that is all. I have taken the washer off.
Do you think I need to get someone out or am I missing something simple? 🙁
