    Hello,

I’ve “Megger” tested the heater element and it’s flat to earth. It trips the 30mA RCD in the consumer unit.

I’m having difficulty removing it. Once the single securing nut is removed, I can’t figure out how the element comes out?

There is a gasket and (presumably) some sort of clamp plate inside the plastic housing…

    Any guidance gratefully received.

    Many thanks,

    Dazzlevision

This is the heater at the front bottom of the machine? If yes, there is a compressed rubber gasket behind the metal front plate. A deal of careful levering is about the only way to remove it.

    Power off, of course.

    Hello Penguin 45,

Yes, it is at the front right hand corner of the machine.

I think I’ll wait until I have the replacement part to hand and use that as a guide to how the original comes out!

    Many thanks,
