    Hi

This device is about 25 years old but hardly used. One of the components on the PCB has blown and I need to get the PCB out to have any hope of identifying the blown component and getting it replaced. Suggestions from an electronics forum are the component might be a capacitor or a transformer. The immediate practical problem is the motor is blocking the removal of the PCB. See attached picture taken from the base into the cavity containing the motor and electronics.

I can “wiggle” the motor but it seems to be attached somewhere near the top (in the picture the part furthest away). I have removed all visible screws but I can’t get the top off. The best guess is there are some “sprung plastic lugs” (only way I can describe them) that hold the top to the body of the food processor. My thinking is if I can get the top off then I might be able to remove the motor then the PCB. Maybe it is easier than that.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get the PCB out?

    Thanks

    Clive
