Just been to a 2 year old zanussi, noisy. Usual failed bearings and a sealed drum. Customer begins to tell me about fixed price repair she had found on the web. Shows me a website (repaircare)that she had typed all her details in and the site came back with a fixed price of £117 including parts and labour. I priced a drum at £98 + vat from connections, so how does that work?

Repaircare contract an agent to inspect the machine, the agent ‘writes off’ the machine as BER and Repaircare refund the £117 to the customer less £45 ‘call-out’ fee…..simples! 🙁
or in the case of the smeg retro i fitted a compressor on last year they qoute ridiculos time scales for aquiring a pot 3 months in my customers case as its coming from Itay you know 😯
