Likewise here, they try the 40 odd repairers in the YP first then repairs@ so you know it will be a pig of a job when you get one.
Then they ask for response by email.
Whats wrong with picking up the phone! 👿

It could be a regional thing, I have had one or two but Bryan aka R600a gets loads, they obviously spend more time glued to their PC’s darn sarf. 😉

Totally Jim.
Some people get loads, others get very few. It depends very much on the product range covered, the manufacturers covered and the postcodes and it really is a postcode lottery. If you happen to be in a densely populated area then the chances jump up, still higher where there is a lot of technology workers.
So, people in London and surrounding areas can get loads, same with the South Coast, some people can be getting 20+ calls a month. How many of those convert to a repair I don’t honestly know, but the anecdotal evidence seems to suggest that the conversion rate from enquiry to actual job is far, far higher than a call from the likes of Yellow Pages.
We get one or two a month on average as there are others in the Glasgow area, but we convert over 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} to an actual repair so it’s far better than the “do you do free callout” calls we get as all the calls are primed to be ready to have a charge applied.
But when you pin the calls on a map, which we do, it is obvious that the South fares better than the North. 😕

It also depends on how many are listed with you in your Postcode area? If you are the only one listed you get it all, if not…….who knows?

Basically Martin it’s where you pay a small amount per click, I assume in this instance in reference to Google Adwords.
It can be very expensive and yield variable results. It may seem cheap at 2p to £3 per click but what matters is the conversion ratio unless you can afford to do a brand building exercise. You need to invest a lot of time and usually money into making it work for you as most words and phrases are fiercely competitive in our game.
