Repairs@ – Some questions about the form etc

Hi all

I hope that this is in the right section. I am just looking at what is required to join the Repairs@ system and a few questions have arisen when looking at the form that I hope you can help me with.

1. Under “Charging Information” is the category “System Repair” – What do you mean by “System repair” that isn’t covered by one of the other categories?

2. Under “Membership Of Organisations” – I guess that “Corgi Registered” should now become “Gas Safe”? – I am neither, but just guessing that the form needs updating as Corgi has been phased out.

3. Under “IT & Communications” it asks about call logging software – what do people here tend to use and what benefits does it bring?

4. Under “IT & Communications” it asks about IT policies – I don’t currently have any written policy but think that I should write one – has anyone got any examples/advice about these that they would like to share.

5. In several sections (and the charter) it asks about Fax – I don’t currently have any fax facility – is one really required?

My apologies for the barrage of questions in one go but hope that you will be kind enough to answer them for me.

In order…

1. System repair means regassing refrigeration.

2. Yep, should be updated but I’m not bothering for the moment.

3. That’s a whole topic on its own and probably best discussed in another thread.

4. Ditto

5. No, fax isn’t needed.

Just a quick question on Repairs@ Ken, I completely forgot all about it as I cannot for the life of me remember the last time I had a job from it, how can I or you check all our details are correct ie postcodes covered, email address etc…

Ok Ken there’s no rush, if you get 5 minutes sometime as some of my postcodes etc have changed let me know what you have got on my account, no worries for the moment though mate 🙂
