After much research I bought a Miele S7 Cat and Dog and was impressed until the housing on the bottom started to come away and drag along the carpet.

Retuned to Miele service for a repair (great service – cannot fault them) and off I went again…. For two weeks – happened again!

I have now had 4 repairs and a new machine in less than 6 months and it’s just happened again! I thought Miele were meant to be quality products? I never had problems with my 15 year old Oreck!

After a brief Internet search it seems this is a frequent fault on the Miele uprights? Anyone know of a solution cause otherwise I want my money back and I will go buy a Sebo.

Would appreciate any response as going to take this up with Miele and other experiences may help get a fix for this as otherwise it’s a brilliant, but bloody heavy, vacuum.

i think miele have a mod in the pipeline for this, and are just repairing, at cost to them until a revised part comes through, depemnds really on your attitude to them, if its diehard miele youll hang on, if your not then id get a refund and x4 too 😛

btw the phrase you need is NOT fit for purpose, but “not of satisfactory quality” in relation to your refund
