Our door on our wonderful larder fridge is broken, and we’ve gotten a door off Freecycle to replace it. The problem is…I’ve never replaced anything like this. Is it straightforward, or are there tricks I should know?

The easy way – clear the insides of everything, food, drink, shelves, draws, unplug and lay the appliance on its back with the top slightly raised – remove bottom hinge assembly and take off door. Now fit replacement door and hinge and stand it upright. Replace all contents, and this is very important, do not switch it back on for two hours. Switch on after the two hours and off you go. Purrfek 😆
