    Hi
My Beko Drvs62W has stopped heating. I’ve tried changing the heating element, but it’s really temperamental and works until I attach it to the dryer.

Therefore, I need to find a replacement. The challenge is that the space in which the tumble dryer is located is quite tight from a depth perspective, so I am trying to find a dryer that matches the specification of the Beko dryer. I am struggling!

According to this: https://www.beko.co.uk/6kg-vented-tumble-dryer-drvs62-silver-white the depth is 540mm and I can’t find another vented dryer of the same dimensions. Even with this, I struggled to fit in the space and had to carve a recess for the dial for the door to close.

It needs to be vented as it’s in the space of which was previously a small under-country fridge. There is kick board (if that is the correct term) in front of it, so having a water tank at the bottom isn’t possible. It’s basically semi-integrated. I have seen condenser and heat pump dryers with a tank at the top, or in the door, but I can’t seem to find any still being sold or available in the UK.

If anybody has any wisdom they could share, I would really appreciate it please!

    thanks,
    Simon

As for a replacement The Beko you link to has been discontinued for quite some time, even Google can’t find any.

The narrowest dryer I can find which is 540mm in depth is the Beko heat pump model DTIKP71131 which in fact is an integrated appliance heat pump dryer. The water container is at the top for easy emptying but the condenser which will need regular cleaning would be behind the kick plinth.

The only other option would be to re site a standard 600mm machine.
