ParticipantI wonder if anybody can help? I let my flat out in the UK (live in France) and the built in fridge freezer is on the fritz. Not worth repairing and I know that they don’t make this particular model any more. Would anybody know where I can get the exact same size/equivalent model to fit into the existing housing? There are two doors in the housing, one for the upper fridge the lower to access the freezer. I have exact dimensions if needed.
Many thanks for any advice

Hi,
Yes, the dimensions would help as Don can probably suggest a replacement if you can give us those.

Sure, the tenant has given the following dimensions but said it was a little tricky to be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} accurate given its built it!
Height: 156 cm
Width: 54 cm
Depth: 50 cmMany thanks

Hi
Thanks for the sizes. Sadly there are no 156cm tall integrated fridge freezers made that I know of and we deal with 98{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of all known brand names.
There are a couple of options to consider though which may help.
You could install a fridge with a small freezer box in it like the Hotpoint HSZ2321L, but bear in mind that the existing two wooden doors would have to be adapted to fit or you would need to buy another door of the correct size.
Another option would be to replace with a freestanding appliance. You could install say something like a Beko CDA539 which is only 153cm high into the housing.
You do need to have adequate ventilation on any refrigeration appliance that fits into a housing.
HTH 🙂

Thanks for this, have been back to the tenant who tells me there could be a cm or two either way as he’s finding it difficult to get precise measurements. I have a couple of photos that might help but don’t seem able to post them 🙁

You can add photos by clicking on the “upload attachment” button which is just under the save draft, preview and submit buttons when you are creating a post.
