KeymasterI am unable to find a supplier of replacement inner glass panel 480×360 for this oven. Is there an other oven with the same glass size or can one be ordered to size?
Alternatively, what solid heat resistant material would be suitable to replace the glass?Appreciate your advice.

If you could check around the door for the model number I’ll check out whether the glass is still available for you 😀

Thanks for trying. Is there any other material that is safe to use in place of the inner glass? (ie so that we can use the oven, even if we cant see inside without opening?)
We plan to change kitchens later this year so only a temprary (but safe) use is required until we know what we will be buying.Al

Nope, it’s reflective glass, it has to be that I’m afraid.
I’ll have a look at some doors I have here, one may be suitable.

ASD in Morley keep a lot of old stock – 0113 3936688. Might be worth a call if you’ve got the part number.

Yes, it should be AKG490…. they may still not recognise it as the model is obsolete and no longer listed by Whirlpool.
Give it a try though 😀

KeymasterRe: Replacement glass for philips series 90 built in Oven –
Hi Dave
Well the glass arrived, and it fits perfectly. But,, (there’s always a but!)
The new glass has two 8mm fixing holes in it. This oven door fixes with clamps at the side of the glass however. Is it safe to use with the holes, or should I blank off the holes with (say) a flat head bold and nut as it would have if it were fixed thought the holes?)

It sounds like that’s just the handle fixing holes if they are at the top.
You could blank them off yes, but it won’t make a lot of difference if you leave them as they are to be honest.
Dave.

Thanks Dave
The holes are at each side of the glass, near to where the clamps are.
As long as its safe that’s great.
thanks very much for your help, will spread the word about this site.
