ParticipantI have a fairly old Diplomat APM6842. The fridge temp is not going low enough, we think it is the door seal but not sure.
Maybe easier to get a new appliance but can anyone tell me what current model would fit the space and kitchen door sizes. ie what will slot straight in ?
Thank youJune 13, 2017 at 11:42 am #448109don

Hi
Due to it’s age there is very little info on the net. I believe your model is a 50:50 fridge freezer. Can you post up a piccie of the appliance please so we can confirm one way or the other?

Hi
Nice easy one 🙂
That’s a 50:50 split fridge freezer, with that split there are loads out there. The height on these are around the 177cm tall give or take a mm.
You will need a fridge freezer which will take sliders as in the second photo as opposed to fixed hinge. Virtually all manufacturers produce these.
HTH 🙂

Thanks Don for your reply. It would help me a lot if you or somebody else could give me a make and model number of a currently available suitable appliance in a reasonable price range.

Actually I have been having a look online and yes there are a few that should do. Just need to check the cabinet height as that could be critical.
And they all seem to come with sliding rails.
Thanks again for helping out.June 18, 2017 at 10:18 pm #448114electrofix

just a long shot
had a fridge freezer with a similar problem and it turned out to be lack of ventilation but only showed up in hot weather
is the top of the unit open at the back to allow the heat out ?Dave

Dave, it’s something I should check right enough. Looking at the picture there is does look a tight fit and maybe there is no vent hole at back. Will get it checked out.

ParticipantHi I have the same fridge freezer as what you had and your thread shows the link you bought to replace it only as it was a few years ago, the link no longer works. Are you able to share what you got as a replacement. Im worried if I order something it might not fit and you said your slotted straight in. Looking at your thread on here and the pictures, i have exactly the same and now needs replacing. Many thanks
