Is the replacement of the door seal on an AEG D4100m oven (product number is 944171125 and the serial number is 03400019) a fairly easy DIY job? If so does it involve any more than removing the front of the oven – I presume that is why it has screws – and swapping the new seal for the old?
Would the universal seal sold in this sites shop be suitable, as we find AEG rather expensive to deal with.

You will need to undo the front surround of the oven and ease it away from the cavities to release the seal, fitting the new one is the reverse. This means that really only the genuine seal will fit (i’m not personally aware of a pattern version for this particular oven)
If you have a go yourself then you must isolate the appliance before the screwdrivers come out.
If you are unsure about how to procede then have a look in Repairs@ for an engineer
