ParticipantHi All,
My 1st post 🙂
Old door seal had perished, mouldy starting to split, we’ve had the machine for 6 years though its been pretty good, thought about going out and buying a new machine though my sister bought one a 18months ago which shes had nothing but problems with, my mother bought a new one 6 months ago & that’s just died – so I think our machine has plenty of life left – only the two of us now as step daughter has moved out.
Got a replacement seal, took a lot of effort to remove the old one, though I cannot for the life of me get the new one back on.
Front of machine does not come off which does not help, so having to go through the drum & from above.
Any tips very much appreciated – as I’m under a bit of pressure !

You should have door seal 91620118?
Have you got the clamp bands out of the way? Fit to tub first, fully slacken the tub clamp band and work into the groove before tightening. Then fit the casing end.
Fiddly, but quite straightforward.
Power off, of course.

Yes correct seal
Though I can’t get the inner seal to connect to the drum, it was a nightmare getting the older one off.
The lip on the inner drum is useless, I’m going in through the drum which is not helping, leverage is the big problem their is not much room at all
Should I attach the rear seal first or ?

Tub end first, clamp it with the band, then the door opening end.

ParticipantCome on chaps someone must be able to help, problem is the tub end opening is bigger than through the door I just can’t do it on my own, maybe the fitters use special clamps ???

No special tools, just very strong dexterous fingers, shedloads of patience and the magic ingredient, years of experience. Not quite priceless but usually well worth paying for. 😉
