    Hi,

The motor compressor has gone on our existing integrated fridge freezer, so we are needing to replace the appliance. I had hoped to just order the same model again to ensure it fits, however its a Leisure PBC273F model which appears to be discontinued (https://www.leisurecooker.co.uk/inte…fridge-freezer). It’s dimensions are:

    W 55.6cm
    H 177cm
    D 54.5cm
70/30 split on fridge and freezer.

I’m very conscious of ordering another integrated fridge freezer and it doesn’t fit in the space, or the paneling on the doors don’t align! Does anyone have any recommendations on suitable models that I could replace it with?

I was looking at this perhaps: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/samsung-spacemax-brb26600fwweu-integrated-7030-fridge-freezer-sliding-hinge-10224778.html

    Thank you in advance!

Physical size wise all integrated overall sizes are the same, it’s the door splits and hinging which are different.

I can confirm you have a 70/30 split appliance. It’s the hinging issue, by the looks of it your current appliance is what we call fixed hinge, can you confirm that the hinges are like a canti lever please. Better still take a photo host it somewhere like Google pics and paste the link on here.

The model you have picked out has the more popular sliding hinge arrangement, sadly the two different types are not interchangeable.

As I suspected you have a fixed hinge appliance, as previously you cannot interchange the hinge types. I have known of good kitchen guys who have been able to replace fixed hinges with sliding ones.

The Samsung has sliding hinge set up as well.

Bad news there are very few fixed hinge fridge freezers out there, Bosch and Neff, Samsung also produce. There are some here at AO for you. The other option would be to take out the integrated and put a freestanding appliance into the housing such as a Hotpoint HBD5517 which I have done succesfully in the past.

Thanks Don, that’s frustrating that out options are limited by the fixed hinge. We’ll consider our options, thanks for your advice.

    Hi Don,

    Think we’ve found a suitable replacement: https://ao.com/product/ki87vvfe0g-siemens-iq300-fridge-freezer-white-84963-28.aspx

Can you see any obvious issues? Dimensions appear to be pretty much the same, we’ll need AO to reverse the doors when they install it.

Looks good to me, it ticks all the boxes on the physicals. The only thing I can see is that your Leisure is frost free whereas the Siemens is low frost. Personally I prefer these to frost free.

    Hi Don,

Just been doing some measuring and I think our existing model is actually at 60/40.

The distance between the hinges for the fridge door is 106cm and the distance between the hinges for the freezer door is 68cm. So I think that’s a 60/40 split?

In which case, looking at this Siemens model: https://ao.com/product/ki86vvfe0g-siemens-iq300-fridge-freezer-white-84962-28.aspx

The limited info I can find still points me to it being a 70;30 however I know the door sizes are very similar to a 60:40 split. I guess the only way to be sure is to contact Leisure direct.
