    A friend has phoned to say he is having trouble getting the O ring back on on a Bosch Washing Machine, WAS 28466GB.

    The o ring holds the door seal on. Apparently it came off ok by rolling the rubber over and out of the groove but try as he might he cannot get it back on. The o ring is a continuous type with a coil spring section to allow some give. There are no adjusters on it.

    Any tips I can offer him ?

    just stretch it round

    starting at the bottom, slide the band onto the door seal.. use your 2 hands together to stretch the band over

    not the easiest job, some people just wedge something in to stop the spring from springing off
