ParticipantCan anyone tell me how to go about replacing the Boot Gasket on a Bosch Exxel 1400 washing machine? It looks as if I need to remove the door and main front panel to get at the seal between the gasket and the outer drum but where do you start?!

You need to do exactly that and if you give us the full model number, we can supply you with a replacement gasket as well! π

Hi Jack
Front panel off everytime, why try and wallpaper the hall through the letter box :rolls:BTW Jack, are you a trade member in need of activation?? as you are advising in a public forum π If so please contact site admin. π
Curiosity, how long does it take to change door gasket without panel off?

You physically cannot remove and replace the door gasket on the clamp band machines withe the front panel in place – there is not enough room to get a driver in and working with it in place.

Hi
I did apply for trade membership but got no reply
Anyway I thought that model had a spring
You donβt take the tub out of a zanussi do you
And if you can change one on a zanussi then these
Are easy like I say 5 minuetsJack

Gentlemen,
I am overwhelmed by your collective response and intrigued by the debate that its caused. It would be great to do this without taking the front panel off so I’ll give it a go… although I have to say it looks like I’ll resort to plan ‘A’. I’ll let you know how I get on!
WizzPS. For your reference the model number is WFX2867GB/01 and the gasket part number is 361127.

Hi
Yes that model does have a spring, but why would you want to struggle for the sake of 3 minutes to remove front panel, thats just making work for yourself πZanussi is a different ball game as the front doesn’t come off and you just have to struggle so no comparison really to the Bosch.
As for Trade Access a PM to either Dave_Conway or kwatt should be able to sort that out.
