    Hi people,

On an earlier thread Penguin45 advised a replacement t’stat to cure element blowing problems.

I’ve now received the replacement part no:489378 ordered from ukwhitegoods and I have a question. The new part differs cosmetically from the original – it’s half as tall and, looking from the back the two male terminals are located at “ten to four” instead of side by side at the top as on the taller original.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to identify which should go on which. Does it matter?

Your help would be much appreciated.

    Hi

It doesnt matter which of the 2 wires go onto what terminal if there is only 2 wires, the thermostats can change cosmeticly quite regulary.

Thanks for the quick reply Bryan.

Job done and oven element now switches on and off as it should. 😀
