Rest of a whirlpool DWF417

Does any one know how to rest this type of dishwasher, it seem to feel it is half way thought a cycle even though it has finished, I have tried unplugging for a length of time and also tried holding the button down but nothing it keeps coming back to the same point where the rinse light is flashing as if it needs to finish. Plus it beeps twice when you shut the door as if it is going to do something but nothing. thanks!!

If you count the number of flashes the light makes between pauses and let us know along with the service number of the machine (format 8545********).

The number of flashes relates to a fault code which will point you in the right direction.

the rinse light in just on continually, the pan cycle light is flashing and the S symbol is also continually on, plus sorry but where is the service number found?

sorry late responce had to pop out and see the mother in law any way the the service number is 8545 856 15600 99 0337 025002
