I have a good friend, an ex colleague from my Hotpoint days. He retired to Aberdeen after almost 40 years at Hotpoint. He is a forum member and a while ago did assist me in gaining an insight to certain ‘goings on’ on the Hotpoint/Indesit FSE forum. Sadly they took their ball away and won’t let him play anymore.

Although retired he still reads the forum daily and has a keen interest in the trade.

He asked me if someone like himself could become a WTA member. I did tell him that I could not see any real benefits accruing for his £60.00 per annum but promised to ask the committee for a ruling.

    I can’t see a problem with it.

I don’t see a problem ,will we need to recognise that he is non-active with regard to the charter ?

He had forty years at Hotpoint, hated every minute of the last five years under Indesit’s control. He moved up to Aberdeen to live near one of his children, he now has a couple of grandchildren to occupy his time. Apart from his own machines and his daughters I don’t think his toolbox will ever be opened for financial gain anymore. 🙂

I see no problem with him becoming a member. The information and experience could be useful.
