I have recently bought a house in Eastbourne and am looking for a washing machine and a tumble dryer to fit in the small utility room.

I need a washer and dryer that will stack (I’m told that I can buy a kit for about £30 to safely stack these items) and , importantly, they have to have a right-hand hinge on the door. I want to place them in a corner with a wall to the right. Due to the size of the room, a left-hand hinge would mean leaning over the door to fill and empty the machines. The only washers and dryers that I can find with a right hand hinge are not suitable and are very expensive.

Can anyone help? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.

The alternatives therefore may involve you considering repositioning the appliances in your utility room to accomodate this, including turning them through 90 degrees to avoid the door being inconveniently placed 💡
