Has this been discussed here before? http://www.r2rc.co.uk/landing/index.htm
I’m sure some of you will already be aware of it. Apparently, in France it is illegal to fix your own car, or so I’ve heard say.
Are there implications for the future of our own industry?

Better not be, or I wouldn’t be able to do THIS……..

I think you’ll find it’s Italy where they have these regulations, and in true European style, are completely ignored. Ah, civil disdobedience – grand stuff.

What is worrying is Germany, where there is no independent trade. All repairers must be certified for every brand before being allowed to work on it. I’m pretty sure that Martin posted something on this a couple of years back – perhaps he could enlighten us?

probably, it wouldn’t take much to programme a module that needs re-setting with manufacturers hardware for every fault, ie pump o/c, valve o/c, just be left with the mechanical faults then?
