    Hello all,
    I recently moved into a house which has an old Rosieres 4040db installed. I was cleaning the gas burners before Christmas there and was hoping someone could help me with a query.

    The gas burners have a cap and then a metal ring with a flute which I think is called an air tube. It slides down over
    the gas jet but is not sealed. I can freely lift the burner to clean.

    Is this not extremely dangerous as gas could leak below the hob and descend into the ovens below?
