    Hi, Just testing the right hand oven for the first time. The orange neon light is on even when the oven is off. Does this indicate a particular problem ? Also, I tried testing first at 120 degree setting and the power tripped after ten minutes.

    p.s. i did only test it on a 13a socket though.

    Could anyone tell me if this is likely to be the thermocouple?

    Hi Sandy

    neons with a slight glow is common with the 4040 and does not affect the operation of the cooker. i have seen them running for years.

    The tripping could be due to a 13amp being used but it could also be an electrical fault on the element.
