    The left hand oven of my 16 year old 4040DB stopped heating up to a sufficiently high temp. I have replaced the thermostat but the problem remains. I have never used the fan to cook with, but could it be a failure of the fan element? I don’t even know if there is a fan element after reading related posts in this forum. Can anyone help?

    Hi

    the problem will most likely be the base element in the oven,turn the oven on and after a while see if you can feel any heat coming on the bottom of the oven.

    Hi Bryan, and thanks.
    There does appear to be heat from the bottom element, and the top element
    outer ring glows nicely.
    Any other possibilities?
