ParticipantHello to one and all and hoping for some assistance.
We have a Bocuse double range which is almost 20 years old.
The left hand oven (fan assisted) door is no longer closing properly, no doubt due to this being the one we use the most and being worn out.
I initially thought it was the hinges that might have gone, but if I swap the left and right doors which ever door is on the left does not close properly and which ever is on the right does.
Is it likely therefore to be an issue with the runners, and if so how do I get at them?
I can see the screws on the front of the oven which I assume(?) hold the runners in place but I have no desire to start undoing things if bits are going to fall inside rendering the oven knackered.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and any help much appreciated. 😀

Hi
Drawers out at the bottom.. undo the screws and let the old ones fall down away.
new ones will need to go up into the side cavity using string put down through front holes and then pulled back up with the new receiver.
inside ones the same or loosen the front black panel and pull GENTLY forward and fit.
You will also need to change the hinges as they become bent and out of shape and will wear the new hinge receivers down if hinges are not replaced.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
If I remove the drawers I appear to have no access to the cavity you mention. So no way to pull up new runners/receivers.
Looks like I will have to find a way to pull the oven unit out and fit runners that way. (I think)
Meant to say model is the 4040DB

Thank you so I now see.
Looks like one hell of a fiddly job, will ponder it some more.

I have the same problem with the same range. Having taken out the bottom drawer there are rows of holes in the cavity. However this does not allow access to the oven cavity above where the hinge runners are fixed. Can someone be clearer about how these are replaced please?

I have read all the posts Bryan and still can’t see how to do it. Do you mean the screws on the facing panel at the front of the oven cavity? This is an example of where a picture is worth a 1000 words. It looks to me as if the front oven panel has to be removed. I’d be very grateful if you would explain this in more detail.

I gave up waiting for clarification on this and called a engineer in. He changed the hinges which solved the problem. In his view the hinge springs had weakened. He felt the runners were OK and would need the range taken out to get to.
