The long thermostat shaft has come off the thermostat on this cooker.

I can just about see the shaft and thermostat by looking in through the burners but to access it I will have to take the left hand half of the lid/ top off.

So my question how do I take the lid off this heavy beast?

There are sometimes 2 screws on the rear. There is two on the side and sometimes one on the front corner trim facing the knobs. Then it’s brut strength to lift it off. If The shaft is broken Its obsolete but can be repaired if you send it down to me
