Hi everyone – first time here so please be gentle with me 😉
We have a RS20CCMS sided by side freezer that has been leaking water and I finally got my act together and pulled it apart to find the cause
Now
We have ice on the bottom of the freezer and the bottom drain was blocked with ice – but I cleared all that
I have a plug in the top RHS corner with three connections in it plus a single one next to it
On the tripple
top connection (black/red wires) I think is the thermal switch and shows zero resistance on my multimener
next one down (Red/brown) I think is one of the heater connections and shows 142 Ohms with it plugged in but unplugged does something wierd about 60 Ohms, then 198 ohams and then infinity.
I have no idea what that means!! Can anyone advise if it is a duff or not
3rd one (yellow/yellow) I think is the defrost sensor showed maximum resistance but I realsiesd after I buttoned it all back up that was at ambient temp
So not sure if that is a duff or not please advise
On the single plug (red/brown) and I think its ther other hearet ans shows the same wierd readings
I guess that the heaters are OK despite the wierd rreadings as something is melting the ice and making the leak!!
Sorry for the long story but soime guidance would be much appreciated
Tris
