I have a Samsung RS21 fridge freezer. It was left at the house I purchased and I understand its probably 6-8 years old.
The ice/water is not dispensed from the front of the unit. I have opened the freezer and there is a test button underneath – this proves the dispenser is working fine as the unit is turning and attempting to produce ice – what’s not happening is water is not coming out of the pipe to fill the tray.
The previous owners said there was a crack in the cold water reservoir
and to confirm a simple one – the water pipe is connected at the back 🙂Any ideas?

The water must be turned off at the supply so you are not getting any water to the appliance.
The tank referred to would be the tank in the fridge compartment behind the saled box’s.
If the water was on when you draw water from the door the tank would leak.
You will have to replace the tank and turn on the water supply.
The single pipe feeds the water to a duel solenoid valve so you would have to replace the tank before turning the water back on.
