HI, i’ve seen a couple of posts with similar faults as mine, in that my fridge and freezer are not getting to temperature. I have had the upgrade carried out several years ago and had no problems with ice build up at the back, since. However, yesterday both fridge and freezer temps had risen. i checked behind the machine and cleaned all the ‘veins/ribs’ from dust etc. The fan in between the compressor and the ribs is working. I have NO ice build up in the fridge and removing both back panels i noticed slight frost on the fridge side but nothing on the freezer side. Would both internal fans stop together and if so would this be sufficient to prevent the compartments reaching their relevant temps??? The door display shows temps of -18 and 4 but when i switch the machine off and back on it shows ‘room temp’ for a few minutes then goes back to -18 and 4. Then today the compressor gave a loud knocking sound and was visibly moving inside the back storage area, so i switched off the machine and then put it back on again, knocking stopped???
Unit still not getting to temp, any ideas anyone??? Thanks in advance.
