Hi guys, above American f/f has stopped dispensing water. It is still making ice. I thought the solenoid valve had maybe gone, but no. I think the tube between the valve and the door must be freezing and stopping the flow of water. Where is it likely to do this and is there a cure?

Pre cooling tank in fridge frozen.

Tank is behind bottom baskets in fridge.

Hi Bob, if the pre cooling tank is frozen what’s the remedy? I got the customer to switch off freezer over weekend and then try it again. They had water for a short while.

Get the customer to turn it off for a couple of hours with the fridge door open or.

Turn it off and warm the tank with a hair dryer keeping the hair dryer moving and not in one spot for 5 mins.

Then turn it back on and dispense a couple of litres of water.

if the problem returns then it will be a rear panel or defrost fault.

if it is less than 5 years old Samsung has extended the warranty to 5 years

What do you mean by rear panel? PCB?
Customer said it was working ok up until he changed the water filter? Coincidence?

The rear panel in the fridge behind the water tank as the insulation fails.
