went back to look at this dwasher as hes been away the problem is no lights at control so you cant reset it, its pumping all the time even when you open door not sure if its the wash pump or drain pump think its the wash pump, have checked for water in base, and the pressure chamber, think it may be the board as no lights at all? anyone advise

Is this the same machine as in THIS THREAD?

It does sound as though the PCB may be at fault but being as there’s several S5443’s I would appreciate if you gave us the full E Nr number of the machine in question.

Are you sure about the Enr? Is it perhaps a ‘2’ after the ‘x’? If so the module is PN 492685 and it has either failed with a burnt out heater relay or short in the dispenser actuator. Look closely at the board and the dispenser.

It’s the board that has failed though dop. 🙁

The trouble is that unless you know for sure that the water point diverter or the dispenser solenoid are OK then chances are just fitting a new PCB could land you in the deepest doo doo? 🙁 😡 😥

Good point Martin, I was of course presuming that you (Dop) have checked for leaks especially from under the heater. Take a very close look at the pcb triacs for damage to the black top. The boards almost always fail due to a short in another part of the machine, apart from the heater relay joint failing of course.

Checking my database, the last 3 calls on m/c’s I’ve attended with this same 492685 PCB have all been heater relay pin probs (easy fix by the way). But the others where the whole board is dead have been due to transformer failure. (not fixable). My records show that ,so far at least, I haven’t had a PCB where either the water point or the dispenser has cause the problem. Though I did attempt to stress to dop the need for caution in this case. 😈
