Safe to wash paint on clothes in the washing machine?

I was painting my bathroom over the weekend with the Dulux paints specifically for bathrooms (the really springy sticky paints). Since I got some paint on my clothes, if I use put them into the washer, would it damage the washer?

No it shouldn’t damage the machine, but it likely won’t come off the clothes. 😉

Water based paint will not damage the washer at all but oil based paint can stick to the inner drum and door seal. Best pre-treat the affected garments prior to washing them. Water based paint : rinse in cold water first. Oil based paint: Apply white spirit first. 😉
