samsubg ice maker

hi,

just after some advise please if possible,as i haven’t had much experience with this problem before.
a customer of ours miles away from base says her samsung american f/f is working perfectly apart from it will not make ice.
i’ve had a look at old forums and see that the ice maker sensor is common for going.
i would like to take the correct parts with me if possible as it’s about 100 mile round trip.
is it likely to be the sensor or would it be best to replace the whole ice maker unit?
if so are they easy to do as i’ve never done one before?
any advise would be greatly appreciated.

i would replace whole unit . maybe ask ur cx to press test button underneath ice maker.. ask them to watch what happens
is there ice already in tray
does tray twist and then correct itself – and lastly does it fill up with water ? ..

may be that no water going to unit .. this can happen when ice maker feed pipe freezes .. heater on pipe o/c .. ?

if you want any more info pm – cos i will probaly forget i replied to this ?
