    Hi

Working fine for 5 years now a bit poorly!

I’ve been away for a few days so not sure exactly what happened when it did go wrong ie beeps or sparks!

The freezer section works fine but the fridge is on the blink.

Everything appears the same ie light on inside, beeps when the door left open, can still set the temp on the display…..but not getting cold.

There’s often not alot in the fridge and only ever about 1/8 full….not sure if this would make any difference.

Before I have to take a day off and wait for an engineer, anyone got any ideas to why this has happened and if I can try to make it better first?

    Many thanks for any help.

Possibly an ice build up in the freezer, a complete defrost over 48 hours may resolve it.

If you check throught the various other Samsung posts in this forum (which I’ve moved your post to by the way :D), plenty to go on there as this problem is not an uncommon one 😉

Thanks for speedy response and putting into the right section (too early on Sat!!)

Read the other posts …. all talked about defrosting but mine is frost free.

So if it is frost free would the same problem still be a problem (not sure how it all interlinks) Is it worth clearing out the freezer and doing total “start up” procedure? (was gonna be last resort pre-engineer attempt as there’s lots of food in freezer!)

    Thanks!

They are all frost free pretty much, frost free units still have ice forming in the freezer section, the cold air is blown around by fans, if there is a problem with the auto defrost function the ice will buld up and block the air duts.

Yep, try a total defrost and see what happens.
