Looking for a bit of insperation and anything I can check with a multimeter.

Read through the previous threads for this FF and there does seem to be a few potential issues that partialy fit my symptoms.

defrost cycle issues, not sure how to check the componants for that but is does seem to have other problems.

Came home from 10 days away to a defrosted FF and had turned itself off. this was July 8th

Had a look at the circuit boards nothing obviously blown.

We have a circuit diagram on the back showing the basic connections

After a bit of turning on off and pressing buttons finaly got it going again but it is still playing up.

Fans compressor and temp sensors all seem to be working it maintains both F&F temp when it runs.

IT has run for more than a week but sometimes only a day or two sometime less.

Initial symptom is a reset cycle, then turns off and back on again sometime immediately some time after a longer time.
turning power on/off does not always cure it immediately it can take while and a few goes.

A second symptom is it gets into a loop on the fridge temp setting as if the fridge temp setting button was being continualy pressed it will cycle round this loop a few time and then carry on at some random temp between 1-6.

This is over 10y old now and this is the first time we have had any issue. Need to decide how much yo invest in fixing this.

    Re: Samsung 3928b FF.

A bit late but have another issue with a differnt device so will update this first.

As a follow up in case anyone still has one of these.

A local guy came round and checked everything tried new boards etc. could not fix the faults. and did not charge out of principle which is great service so will use again.

everything mechanical and simple electrical had checked out ok so I decided to try after getting the setting right disconecting the display unit and it has not gone wrong since.

IIRC the display was going to be quite a bit so just running it without a display/control buttons.
