I have a problem with my drinks dispenser which i think is a loose wire in the freezer door,if i wiggle it, the dispenser works ok. My question is how do i strip the door to gain access to replace the wiring/or repair the bad connection.Thanks in anticipation of any help.

Hi Bryan,
This one has mirrors and glass all around it,(apparently special order for Harrods,i bought from discount store) i assume i will need to strip all that off to reveal the White carcass underneath.Thanks for answering my post.

Hi

Be VERY CAREFUL as the glass is sometimes double sided taped to the carcass. If it is taped then the only way is to gently heat the mirror using a hair drier long slow process but it shouldn’t have been bonded.

Its certainly a strange one this,i have wedged a piece of plastic between the cable and cavity in the door and the dispenser is now working,British Gas said it needs a new door to fix,and they dont make them now.

I have been offered a one off cash payment of £45 or £291 worth of vouchers for Currys toward another Appliance,this one cost me £1500 10 years ago.

The door IS was available in February this year..Tell BG to check further.
