Samsung American style freezer fault

My Samsung American style fridge/freezer Rsh7znrs has developed a problem in the freezer section, during the day the freezer I presume goes into a defrost cycle to remove any excess ice, but during this cycle it defrosts the ice maker which results in water/ice running down the inside of the door. I have checked the fan and this is operating correctly what I am struggling with is how the defrost cycle operates because the freezer temperature does not change and the food on the bottom remains frozen but any on the top by the ice maker defrosts but then a few hours later has refrozen.

Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.

Contact samsung as the appliance has a 5yrs warranty and at a guess it’s an inherrant fault.

Thanks for the reply Bryan but I don’t think this fridge is covered in the 5 year Warranty as I looked on there website and could not see this Fridge/freezer number. :rolls:

Due to the amount of inherent defect have in their appliances it should be covered by them. Give them a call and push it with them.
