Hi. Have an aging fridge freezer. Probems are-can’t adjust temp on control panel when i push buttons they stay in and temp reading does n’t change. Also we then get the fridge freezer beeping -going off every few minutes. Have come up with temporary solution by switching it off and pulling away the panel inside the fridge and using a hair dryer to thaw the frost of the elements. This keeps the machine going for about 3 weeks and then we get the alarm going off again. Can’t avoid a call out but if solution was straightforward it would be good.
Any ideas?

What is the model number and serial number of your fridge freezer,its on a 4″ x 4″ lable inside your fridge section.
the evaperator cover and fan need replacing.i sell them in my ebay shop.regards john
The fan doesnt need replacing as they VERY rarely fail.in fact in the 5 yrs ive been a samsung engineer i havent replaced a fan for being faulty.Also bearing in mind the evaperator cover comes as a complete unit and is normally a consiquence of something else that has failed..ie heater,thermal fuse,sensor,drain heater.
e-mail me some pictures of how its frozen up without defrosting it and i will let you know what has failed.
