Can anyone help?. Love my trusty Samsung B1415J Big Wash washing machine, has been great. Throws up the usual error codes when the filter etc needs attention no probs there. Maching is going thru the complete cycle but clothes are not washing. Drum appears not to have moved either. Sounding slightly more high pitched in process too. Taken in water and washing powder etc, water only sat on bottom under clothes though. Displayed no error codes.
Husband has taken machine apart (slightly) and there was a belt completely off. It is only at most a couple of inches wide, we are wondering whether this has come off whole, or maybe sliced off?. There are no breaks in it though???

Put the belt back on and see if the problem is solved.

Belt on, seems to be ok…. am cautiously watching it go through a short cycle!!! Wondering why it came off though!? anybody know why????

The drive belt is elasticated to give it tension – over time they stretch. If it does it again, replace it. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to get one for you.

After phoning around all my local spares outlets only to be told the same message “we don’t do Samsung!!!” I called whitegoods and within minutes had found one, paid for it and been told it will arrive in the next couple of days!. There is a lesson to us asll. I will not bother locally again!!!.
