I recently cleaned out the soap tray as it was filthy, there was loads of black mould on the roof of the inside of the washing machine. I thoroughly cleaned this as well as removing the tray and giving that a good scrub.

However since I have done this the fabric conditioner, which goes in the central section of the tray, does not seem to completely drain away. Can you tell me what I may have done and is it easily fixable ❓

    Thanks

if you look in the soap drawer
at the top you will see holes
that is where the water comes through
if you line up the top with the conditioner compartment you will see which hole is blocked

Are you sure that the siphon tube in the conditioner section of the drawer, is clean? This tends to clog, as conditioner residue builds up through time.

Take off the siphon tube/cover and wash under a hot tap. You may need to use a brush or cloth to clean it properly.

I checked the points that have been raised by the kind people who replied, neither of these are the problem.

Last night, I ran a cycle (i.e. coloureds) and removed the soap tray and watched what happened (i got a little bit wet but not too bad!!). Almost immediately water came rushing out of the jets above the side of the tray that would normally contain the powder, but nowhere else.

With about 30mins left water again came out of the jets above the powder side of the tray, but nowhere else.

Finally with approx. 15mins left water again came out, however this time it came out of the side it had done previously, but only a small trickle came out of the holes above the fabric conditioner section.

Is this normal or is this is my problem??

Does anyone know what I can do to solve this??

    Thanks

Thanks but I actually had already come to the conclusion that the jets must be blocked in some way, probably from my previous vigorous cleaning. Although I am not sure how this would have happened. I am more interested in what I can do to fix this?

    Thanks
