Hello, we noticed a few days ago that the low buzzing sound our fridgefreezer made wasn’t there. On investigation, it turns out that the machine hadn’t been cooling itself and our freezer had defrosted and the main fridge was room temperature. We de-iced the freezer and turned the machine on and off again and the low buzz reappeared. However, this only lasted for a few hours before the machine went silent and we noticed our frozen items were beginning to defrost and our fridge was warming up. At the moment we’re turning it on and off again every few hours and have tried a hard reset by turning the fridge off at the wall as opposed to just using the ‘power’ button.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this and quick fixes? We live in a rented property so didn’t know whether it was best to call the landlord! In a bit of an urgent situation as both the fridge and freezer are full of food!
