Samsung Dryer drain tank fault

Morning everyone
I have a Samsung dryer model number DV90N8288AX_GH
It’s started telling me that the drain tank needs emptying. The hose is connected to an external drain pipe and doesn’t use the front top water tank.

The drain pump and float switch tank are full of water and both of these components have been replaced.
it still won’t empty the drain tank.

Any advice on what to check/do next please?

well if you know the pump is ok and you know the float switch is ok the only things left are the wiring or the board

was the old punp faulty ? did you test it ?

No-the pump was ok.

The house RCD tripped and I just thought the pump would have been knackered, so I got another one.
It never occurred to me that it could actually only be the board and not the pump and/or switch…!

I was trying to avoid the expense of a board replacement, but I guess that’s probably inevitable now 🙁

well what would worry me is why the rcd went.

have a real good look at the wiring. examine it carfully anywhere it can rub

you dont want to buy a board and find that it either does not work or worse the original fault blows the board

also find the pump connections on the board and do a continuity test from board to pump

to check wiring is not broken somewhere

tech is limited to samsung agants only so hard to get
