Hello all,
I’ve got a Samsung DV431AEP dryer that keeps on throwing its belt. A couple of years back, it failed and after several service engineers refusing to even inspect it, so a few months ago, a friend and I took apart the dryer to repair it. The fault was a faulty control board, blocked exhaust duct and a drum support wheel had fallen off, so the drum dropped, and the belt fell off. The dryer was completely chock-full of lint, as well. I replaced a few parts while the dryer was taken apart – the control board, all 4 support wheels and tensioner spring, cleaned the lint out thoroughly, got a professional company to clean the duct out, and it worked great afterwards. Apparently all parts are genuine Samsung parts?
However, a couple of months later, the belt fell off. I took it apart, reset the belt, and it worked fine. A month later, the belt has fallen off again.
I’m not sure why this is happening, does the belt itself need replacing, is it a problem with the tensioner spring or have I done something wrong?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
