Hi all,
My Samsung washing machine is playing up.
It will run it’s cycle, filling, washing, rinsing, it will even start to spin, but when it gets to 5 minutes left on the spin cycle, it stops , the display goes back to 13 minutes and it just stops. You then have to switch it off and wait before you open the door. It spins fine gets to 5 minutes , then the drum slows down, it makes a kind of glug glug sound, then just freezes and goes back to 13 minutes, the drum stays still and you can’t hear the pump running.
I’ve cleaned out the filter and all seems ok.
The pump has 2 impellers on it, one at rear and one on the side, should both run together as I’ve only seen the rear one spin.
Anything else I can try, anyone got any ideas?
Its not showing any fault codes
Any advice greatly received.

Moderatorthe 2 impellors do different jobs
one pumps out the water the other recirculates water during the wash or rinses

ParticipantThanks Dave, much appreciated.
Any ideas on what to check on why it won’t do a fast spin.
even when empty it will only do a 800 spin, try a faster one and it runs until 5 minutes left then just resets to 13 minutes.
It’s a mare as bits coming out wetter and take longer to dry.
anything else I can check?

Moderatorsamsung are well known for board failures and this does sound like one of them
I have an adwash model the other day that would not spin. went out removed a 50p from the hose tested ok and left. got a call from customer, still no spin
went back and ran a rinse and spin ok. then to be certain i ran it again. spin started ok bit before it started to go faster tomed jumped down to 1 min and then ended programme. never got it to spin after that. can only be the board doing silly things

ParticipantThanks Dave,
much appreciated, I’ll look at replacing it, as probably not worth repairing.
anything reliable you can recommend?
cheers.

Moderatoralways a difficult question and nothing is as good as it was due to customer preference to cheaper cheaper cheaper and not quality
Miele is still top but they are not as robust as they were
look at the Bosch WAN range as i quite like them
Don is our retail guru so will tag him in for other ideas
