Bit of a strange one.
Was called out to this machine because when it has completed the programme and you turn the drum by hand is sounds like there’s still some water in the tub and it’s catching the drum as you rotate it.
I’ve emptied the machine completely by removing the filter and sump hose and no restrictions/blockages were found.
Then with the tub still empty you still get the same “sploshing” sound when moving the drum around.
I’m mystified…..anyone else come across this phenomenon?
No Dave it certainly sounds like a water sploshing around.
Exactly the same sort of noise you get when there’s an inch or so of water left.
It’s not mechanical resistance from drum or motor.
Almost like there’s a container containing liquid attached to the drum and out of sight.
very wierd!
Yes paddles full of water is what I was thinking but I’ve never come across that before because most paddles have holes in them.
Not really sure what you mean by a liquid counter balance.
Just watched a video on YouTube that shows replacing the balance rings which are fitted to the drum on Samsung washers.
Not sure how they work but they are not a listed part on this model.
Look like hollow plastic rings I’m and not sure if they fill/partially fill with water in use.
