    Hi
I’m trying to narrow down my problem with my Samsung American f/f model RSH7UNRS it is not cooling down enough in either fridge or freezer I’ve removed all panels and there is no build of ice on anything on either fridge or freezer the compressor kicks in a bit noisy for about 6 seconds then stops the fridge is not cooling at all and the freezer is only getting to 8 oC despite showing -20 on the display and both fans are running correctly and stopping when I open the doors
    Thanks for any advice

On your model you have an inverter compressor.
It sounds like the compressor is faulty.
On most inverter compressors samsung give a 10year warranty
If it is covered then it should be replaced free of charge.

The other fault could be the inverter
PCB this would not be covered.

An engineer should be able to check as the inverter pcb has a neon on it that will flash a fault code.

If it is not covered by a 10 year warranty then I would get a local fridge engineer with Samsung experience.

You have to dismantle parts to get at the PCB so not a DIY repair.

If the compressor is hot to touch then it is most likely the compressor not a DIY repair.

Then it is more than likely it is the inverter PCB or compressor relay but it has a fault code LED on the inverter PCB.

You would need an engineer to test it but it should be worth repairing as it would be a lot cheaper than a compressor.
